Name: Singatari
Pack: Shaded Pack
Position: Alpha
Age: 22 Moons
Gender: She
Pic: Bottom of Page
Appearance: Singatari is a beautiful black-and-gold-linen she-wolf. Her long legs make her VERY tall. Her form is slender and muscular. Her underbelly, legs, cheeks, snout, and muzzle is a smooth caramel brown. The rest is pitch black besides a thin white streak that goes from her nose, up her forehead, and stops between her ears. Her pelt is always very thick. Her eyes are a striking icy blue. She has scars, but they are hidden by her thick coat of fur. Her tail is very bushy.
Personality: This she-wolf is a private wolf. She's quiet and strict when she needs to be. She extremely loyal and protective of her loved ones. Singatari can be really sweet when you let her. She's got a sharp mind, one that knows what it's doing. Singatari worries about every little thing. Although she is like this, you can sometimes find her in a playful mood. She is easily offended, and this makes her slightly competitive. Singatari is very cunning, she can always find a way to win a battle. Her best trait is fighting. She believes in love, but doesn't show that type of affection publicly to just anyone. She tries to be nice, but she must control the pack and lead it toward a bright future. She will not be ran over by anyone like she did in her past, taking her role as alpha. Anyone given an order by her had better obey or won't have a very good day, or maybe even last day. She is not afraid to kill. Any outsider that harms or interferes with her pack will be hunted down and killed on the spot. She isn't a greedy alpha. She would never take another Pack's territory, she would only do that if it depended on her Pack's life or that territory had been stolen from her Pack before and her Pack needed it back. She keeps her packmates freshened up, so when one of the other Packs strike she usually has a better chance. Singatari walks her territory border line and knows every inch of it. She knows every scent of the forest and every wolf's scent she has ever met. If a Pack wolf decides to be foolish and intrude her turf, she knows the exact wolf who did it.
History:
Origin: Singatari's coming about wasn't as dramatic or as gory as another's might have been. Her parents, Sapphire and Stork, actually fell in love. They had a black male pup, in which they named Aster, and a chocolate brown male pup, in which they named Burke. Sapphire, the questioning mother of the two, did not expect a third pup. Nor did Stork. Burke and Aster were born in a five-minute time span, both of them together. Two hours later, after Sapphire and her pups were resting together, a beautiful black-and-light-brown female pup was born as the runt of her father and mother. Sapphire's fur bristled when she came to realize that her small pup was born in a blizzard. According to Shaded Pack lore, any wolf born in a blizzard was destined to become a great and noble member of the pack.
Time As A Pup: Singatari wasn't one of the rulebreakers, unlike her brothers. Whatever she was told, she obeyed. Their father, Stork, wasn't around them that much, so the course took its way, the three pups received little to no influence or example from him. Singatari's best friend in her puphood, Kheza, was always by her side. Little Kheza, a shy she-pup with gray fur spotted with black speckles, was determined to train as the healer of her pack.
Time As An Apprentice: Singatari was trained as a fighter by a harsh red male wolf named Wasp. Wasp was pretty mean. It was quite hard to please him. He vowed that if any apprentice of his disobeyed, disrespected, or disappointed him he would force them to climb a tree and remain there for three days. No food, no water. Singatari never did. The young wolf trained twice as hard as any of the other apprentices. As rare as it was, Wasp actually liked his hard-working apprentice. Singatari did not want to be alike with Aster and Burke, who never listened to their mentors and were always goofing around. She refrained from being around them. Kheza, on the other hand, trained as the healer's apprentice. Kheza soon became all the family Singatari had. Sapphire's, Stork's, Aster's, and Burke's deaths were demanded by a family of grizzly bears. One night Sapphire and Stork crept out to hunt. Out of curiosity, Aster and Burke followed them. Fools, they were, they followed the wrong scent. It led them to a supposedly abandoned cave. Curiosity kills a cat, or in this case, a wolf. They were ambushed in the cave by a father bear, and killed. Soon after, their parents caught the scent, and too followed it to the cave. They were ambushed and killed. Singatari was downed with drear and sorrow, and Kheza comforted her through this harsh time.
Time As A Fighter: Singatari spent little time as a fighter. Kheza, who was made a healer along with her mentor, was usually who she spent her free time with, just chatting with her while she helped sort herbs. Another new fighter, Aspen, would not leave Singatari alone. Anytime he saw her, he would talk to her, making cheesy jokes. Sometimes he would not let her get away. Sometimes Singatari had to growl at him to make Aspen leave her alone. Apparently Aspen liked her in that way, but Singatari was seriously irritated by the wolf. She talked to Kheza about it. Kheza confronted him on the spot outside of camp. Aspen refused of the accusation. Kheza would not let him continue making her best friend feel uncomfortable and insecure everywhere she went. Soon enough, Aspen became angry with her, and with his messed up mind, he killed the young healer. Her ears hot with anger, Singatari sat in the bushes nearby and had witnessed it all. Aspen smelled her. He stalked around, who knows what he would have done if he'd found her first. The minute he turned his head in the opposite direction, she sprang, and killed him right there. Singatari left the bodies, went back to camp, told the story, and a patrol was sent to retrieve the dead pack members. Everyone knew it wasn't Singatari's fault, and they were actually proud of her for getting that sick mind out of their presence. Now, Singatari had nobody to comfort her. She cried endlessly for a week.
Time As The Beta: The former beta, Serenity, was diagnosed with greencough, and died. The alpha, Smoke, was Sapphire's older brother. There wasn't another alpha at the time, and Smoke never had any pups. Therefore, if Sapphire hadn't died, she would have been the next alpha. Singatari was next in line for the highest rank. So, Smoke promised his neice that she would be his heir by making her the beta. Singatari was honored, and served her purpose nobly.
Time As The Alpha: After Smoke died, Singatari was deemed the alpha. Singatari is still currently the alpha, and fulfills all of her duties with loyalty and responsibility.
Roleplaying Example: Singatari unwound herself between the boughs of a sycamore, sunning and enjoying herself, rolled over on her back. The soothingly perspiring afternoon light warmed her thick fur. She was beholden by the slightly warm autumn temperature. Although she was usually quite vexed, she managed to keep her worries at bay. Her eyes closed, her tongue lolling out without reluctance, her bushy tail swaying from side to side as it hung out between two limbs. Her mind was settled, undisturbed and peaceful. A cool breeze combed through her black-and-gold-linen fur, and Singatari's jaws stretched wide in a bellowing yawn.
Relations: Stork(father-deceased), Sapphire(mother-deceased), Aster(sibling-deceased), Burke(sibling-deceased), Kheza(former best friend-deceased), Wasp(past mentor- deceased) Smoke(maternal uncle-deceased), Ebony(maternal grandfather-deceased), Cherry(maternal grandmother-deceased), Wharf(paternal grandfather-deceased), Bough(paternal grandmother-deceased). The rest is unknown.
